Arsenal’s miserable Premier League campaign continued with a toothless 2-0 defeat at north London rivals Tottenham thanks to goals from Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.
Although the Gunners did dominate statistically, they created nothing to actually trouble Hugo Lloris in the Spurs goal and have now lost five of their last seven games in the top flight.
That run means Arsenal are now 15th in the Premier League with only four wins from 11 games, and bet365 offer 100/1 (101.0) that they are relegated.
It has been over 100 years since they last dropped out of the top English division and, although this campaign is still young, the Gunners’ tally of just 13 points after 11 games is their worst start in Premier League history.
As well, their meagre 10 goals is the fourth-lowest output in the league this season, with only the current bottom three scoring fewer, and perhaps the most concerning thing for Arsenal fans is that they scarcely deserve more.

Despite their woeful form, relegation does seem an unlikely prospect – even disregarding the 100/1 (101.0) price – considering the talent at the club in the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Willian and Thomas Partey.
Perhaps a more enticing wager would be one on Arsenal to finish in the bottom half at 11/4 (3.75), which would surpass last season as their worst-ever Premier League finish.
The Gunners could only finish eighth last term, some 43 points behind title winners Liverpool, thanks to yet more struggles against fellow top-half teams which saw them pick up only 19 of their 56 points against those sides.
Arteta took over from Unai Emery in December 2019 but has so far failed to ignite a spark in the Gunners, winning just 13 and losing 11 of his 31 games in charge, whilst managing only 42 goals.
Despite somewhat middling results under the Spaniard, bet365 make it just 2/7 (1.28) that Arsenal do finish in the top 10 and 2/1 (3.0) that they climb back into the top six by the end of the season.
